Alternative Drama and Theatre workshop

STUDIO 32 brings you a fun, exciting and creative week of alternative theatre warm-ups, games and scenes. In a safe and adventurous environment led by a group of friendly and experienced theatre instructors. After a morning of introducing and practicing different theatre techniques and genres students will collaborate and put their skills in to pratice in the afternoon as they work on their performance pieces, under the careful guidance and direction of our theatre crew. Students will be introduced to a range of theatre and acting styles, all in the spirit of play and learning.

Our instructors will introduce classes, games and scenes on Commedia del Arte, Clowning, Improvisation, movement techniques and classical theatre. Through this exciting variety of acting methods students will explore creating narratives, portraying different characters and understanding scenes all whist collaborating, learning to listen and to respond and most importantly through creative play. The week culminates with a devised performance incorporating the week’s many disciplines and styles of theatre.
